High Performance Computing and data storage

We employ two entirely separate High Performance Computing environments for research and diagnostic purposes.

Research

This system is used for analysis of research data, as well as for R&D for both our research and diagnostic operations. Hosting, networking and security is provided by the University of Adelaide

  • 6 Intel and AMD nodes with 236 cores and a total of 2432GB RAM, 140 TB storage
  • NECTAR cloud computing
  • NCI cloud computing

Diagnostics

This system is used for processing of SA Pathology diagnostic samples and running NATA-approved computational genomics workflows. Hosting, networking and security is provided by SA Pathology:

  • 40 cores / 80 threads CPU
  • 384 GB memory
  • 13 TB scratch
  • 96 TB storage array
